A trip to Carlisle took us to the Army Heritage Museum. It was an enjoyable "hike" around the outside from exhibit to exhibit. It brought to mind the different wars, we as a nation have been part of, and I tried to imagine for a moment what it may have been like to actually been a soldier.
I thought for a moment of all those I personally know who have served our country. How many of those did tours of duty, once, twice, three times for one conflict. I know two men who were actually prisoners of war. The stories they tell bring tears to your soul. Stephen served four 5 years in the Army. He gets choked up and teary eyed at most patriotic venues...today helped me to understand more of that emotion.

  1. Hello!!!!
I miss you so much! Your family is as cute as always and I am glad that we can still stay in touch! Thanks for your sweet comments! In one of your earlier posts you asked about doing good in the world that day - I don't even have to know what you did that day to know that you are always doing so much good for so many people everyday! You are wonderful!
