The midst of April

No pictures this time...just thoughts...
Monday is my birthday...I will be, never mind, it really doesn't matter. Let's just say another year older. With another passing year, I like to take an account of where I am and where I've been and of course, where it is that I am headed! Although we are temporally challenged! We have so much! We have so many wonderful blessings. I think about all those who have come before us, even my parents and marvel at all the "things" we have that make our lives so full and easy and fun. It truly is a blessing to live in these times. I look at all the things that are happening in our world and can't help but believe that these are indeed the last days. Earthquakes like Haiti, China, the midwest. Tsunamis, floods, volcanoes, and the many more things happening, all point to the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In any case, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME!!!! Congratulations on making it this far! Life is tough and it sure has been a ride! (I need to go helmet shopping!)

My Baby is 6

With the passing of days came the 6th birthday of my baby Gretta. It was a month before I got pregnant with her that my own momma died. And, I was 5 months pregnant with her when my daddy died. It was a Thursday morning when she made her grand entrance into the world. She was a whopping 10 pounds 10 ounces!!! She has been the sunshine in my days ever since. I cannot imagine life without this angel girl of mine. She is beautiful...sweet...kind...caring...helpful...creative...thoughtful...fun...and funny! How my heart and soul love and rejoice in her. Here are some pictures of my Gretta girl...

A New Year...

WoW! So much time has flown by since last I wrote. Here we are together in 2010!
I've started my own little business of cleaning and organizing for people to help make our ends meet financially. I am now also a boro council woman in the town of Newport. I am teaching the adult Sunday school class and am a ward missionary working with new members, inactives and potential members...we are seeing good success...and it is very exciting! Our family continues to press forward with the hope of being an eternal family. Gretta will be turning 6 in a few short weeks. Hard to believe that my baby is not actually a baby any more. Emma and Sally are now 5th graders, learning, changing and growing way too fast for this momma. Robbe has started a new job after losing his managers job at GNC at Strawberry Square two weeks before Christmas. Becky is growing as a great mother and wife, and little Jack is so incredibly adorable, I can't help not kissing him! As for Stephen, he has tested for a manager position at the post office and we are hoping he'll be called in for an interview any day now.
